Saw Jimmy earlier at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank(not like anyone gives a shit).

My highlight of the night. Walked into the lobby before the show and ran directly into Big A. Nice fucking guy. Me and my buddy took pics with him. He introduced us to No Filter Paul and his chick. Big A cracked a couple jokes while we were riffing. Super down to earth dude.

Kelsey Cook opened. If I was blindfolded, I could have believed I was at an Amy Schumer show. Sounds and emulates her 100%. Her set wasn't very good, but I get the feeling that she was trying too hard to adapt to Jimmy's fans with her humor, rather than be unique and do her own thing. Wasn't very good, but I didn't hate her. She did maybe 15 minutes and had a couple good punchlines, but overall wasn't very good.

Jimmy's set went right into a lot of topical stuff. Jared Vogel, Charlie Sheen, Bill Cosby, and a handful of other things that maybe he was a few weeks or months behind, but I thought he did a great job making it funny and fresh and going places I didn't expect. He did some crowd work, and kept going back to a mother daughter duo which led to some funny off the cuff stuff a few times over the course of 75 minutes or so. Towards the end, he did some Chip, Uncle Paul, Edgar, etc.

My favorite joke of the night was after he shouted out his go fund me for the cartoon, he followed it up with something like "help me reach my goal so I can do it full time and finally quit that God-awful radio show I do." The response to that and the way he said it made me feel like there was some seriousness to it, and the fans were a mix of uncomfortable laughing mixed with some loud laughing and a couple "Opie Sucks" next to me.

Overall, a decent set and worth the 45 bucks or so for so-so tickets.

Glad you had a good time, but Big A does not get "down to earth" credit. He's not a celebrity. He's a disabled fan of a radio show who drives a taxi and is near death.

Big A is a super down to earth guy due to gravity.

Big A does not get "down to earth" credit

and is near death

Maybe he means he'll soon be in it.

I have a hard time believing he said that about doing cartoons full time and his "god-awful" radio show.

I took a few videos. Just realized it was on the videos I took with my phone.

Exact quote is "I got a cartoon up, so if you want to donate to that, that would be real fucking nice, so I can get off that radio show already and get on with my fucking life."

Wheres the video?

So you lied? Awesome.

No idea how. And if I did, I have no idea how to link it. Not trying to be a dick or a wiseass, just don't know how.

Edit: just put it on my Twitter. Same name as my Reddit account.

Just saw the video. It was Chip that said it, not Jim.

Rookie mistake.

You are right. Probably nothing, but there was a long pause and the way the crowd reacted, it just felt a little strange to me chip voice or not. ......definitely a fail of my first attempt to be a "hater" on Reddit, I hope I'm not shunned.

Really awesome Twitter pic, dude.

Good to hear that Big A is down to earth and hasn't let all the fame go to his head. Can't say the same for DiCaprio, after his Oscar win.

I'd like to meet (And Fuck) No Filter Paul's wife! Every time I see a pic of her & those big ass sweater yams, it reminds me of what a dirty little fuck toy she used to be! I'll never forget her story about going to a night club with Paul & getting "Raped." For the people who haven't heard this, She later admitted wasn't a rape, but more like she was in the bathroom & a big black guy walked in & stood facing her with his hands on the wall behind her. She said at first she felt like he was going to rape her but, but the thought of that turned her on much that she dropped to her knees & sucked his cock right in the bathroom stall at the nightclub while dumb Paul was in the club waiting for her!

Patrice seemed pretty convinced that it was Idris if I remember correctly

You're right, thank you.

whats the most expensive jim norton show ticket? i remember rich vos is charging 5/10$ and derosa is giving out tickets for free. 45$ seems like a lot of money, and hes still asking ppl to donate to his cause after the show?

I wouldn't pay 45 cents to go to a Jim Norton show.
