Historically speaking, I think what we are witnessing is the death of the concept of Celebrity.

Do you think in the future artists will just be more normal, less lofty figures and make way less money? I hope so, this is fun but there's also a lot of poison in it. There's a lot of hormones in tranny cum too. Ant could end up with his own set of tits.

Twitter has made every celeb more accessible, we all know that because Ant talks about it every fucking week. But yeah, I think as movies and music make their money directly through the fans, rather than a third party (music label, movie studios), the more likely those celebs are to start reading their tweets, and paying more direct attention to the people.
We definitely aren't seeing that with movies yet, but we are starting to see the music industry fall in that direction. I think what you're seeing now is the death of radio specifically. They've been saying it was a dying medium since TVs came out, but it has been dying, especially in the last 15-20 years.
So, Ant is the perfect example of the abolishment of "celebrity". All it takes is a crumbling medium and an instant communication device.

And you used to have to go through a bunch of other people to have a famous person made aware of your words. Other people would answer their mail. Only death threats probably got through those filters. And nowadays you can threaten to kill people and it shows up on their phone (i swear I'm not speaking from exdperience). I'd take less money/notoriety if it meant less death threats.

I think the smart ones will use social media(twiiter) correctly... basically just plug their shit and maybe post some banal pics and phrases.
The dumb ones will get in fights with other celebs, and even their fans. And that's what shatters the illusion of fame for all celebs. Once Kayne West starts answering his fans, people start thinking, "hey, I wonder if I can get Tom Cruise to talk to me, he's a real guy too"

And not just entertainment, Donald Trump is doing that to Politics right now!

Really, we and our parents were just under some illusion that these people were different, better, untouchable.

We're watching that fall now, this is a seriously huge moment in history that's probably not as apparent as it should at the moment.
When historians talk about it in 100 years, they will cite social media as the direct cause of the 'Disillusion of Fame'.

Yeah, I called Kayne a Danny Devito-ass faggot last week or so and It was my first tweet to him so I think he might have seen it.

Once we're all using VR goggles we'll all be in the same place at once and then we'll see some shit. If we're lucky.

ant has never even counted as a celebrity compared to most of them..what the fuck are you talking about?

fuck off, shit breath

so because ant, who wouldnt make the z-list is embarassing himself on social media, real celebrities who have pr teams running their shit for them are going to die off? im sure whatever sentiment youre trying to get across about ant is correct but if youre saying this is going to effect movie stars I really dont know what youre gettin at

Eventually the expense of making movies will be so drastically reduced and the pool of talent widened so much that Stars aren't going to be anywhere near as rich as they once were. They'll have to handle their own publicity and that makes them way lesser stars. This kills off the cult of celebrity that currently exists and makes us all feel more equal and hopefully less retarded.
