Political correctness is good for comedy, according to Paul F Tompkins

Paul F. Tompkins is one of the quickest, funniest, most creative comic minds of all time. I've been a fan of his for years and he has said some edgy shit, rape jokes, 9/11 jokes, euthanasia jokes etc. that by today's standards could be labeled as sexist, "racist" and homophobic. It has always been in character (Gary Marshall, Cake Boss, Werner Herzog, H.R Geiger, The Ghost of Richard Harrow etc.) during improv off course but nevertheless.

There was nothing SJW-y about what he said in that video. He basically said that you can joke about whatever you want and the audience can either find it funny or not and if you wanna joke about a controversial subject you should do it in a well crafted way. He's just covering his bases with these statements. We are living in a neo-McCarthyist era and I don't blame him for being careful. Trust me, he's one of the good ones.

Thank you sir.

Whats your point? Do you agree or disagree? If you disagree do you have a specific example or did you just look at the title, you know really hughes this fucker?

Shut the fuck up
