100% against jim on this one. Its like when people flip out when something small detail is messed up on their order at mcdonalds. The person behind the counter hates their job and probably their life, and is getting paid 8$/hr to be there. You really expect them to go out of their way for every customer, let alone go against what theyve been told to do by management?
I've been in the retail workers shoes many times. You just look at the guy and in your head you just go "Can you please just let this go man?" and you go home feeling like shit because of customers like him.
What an ass... so he had an email exchange with "the boss" and that means every single person working at that gym now knows about this? The boss must have immediately ran to tell all of his employees "Hey guys.. THE Jim Norton wants a larger juice when he comes in!! We need to make sure he gets it! He's 1 person out of hundreds who come here but we need to be especially accommodating to him!" The reality is that once they took that juice off their menu they also probably removed it from the register so whoever is working can't just ring it up on their own. They'd have to make a special purchase entry. That is something that probably happens once a decade in a gym. They weren't brushing Jim off for any reason other than the item wasn't put back on the register for order.
That's pretty insane, how were they supposed to know about the email? They were told to sell the only two sizes, and the large cup was for another type of drink. He gets so mad at any servers it seems, I think Opie and Steve had a story about going out with him for dinner and how annoying he was to the staff. He also gets pretty pissed at the interns for his food/coffee orders in the morning
