I do open mics and I don't find most people who do comedy to be funny in general. That said, I know probably twenty different female comedians who are much funnier than Amy is. I mean people who are doing undeniably more clever and original jokes than her, have better delivery, don't look as awkward doing it, etc. And the girls I'm talking about aren't amazing either, but they at least have said things I don't expect before. Fame and fortune is really about an attitude, it's got nothing to do with actual talent, Patrice was fucking 100% right. She's a pandering hacky unoriginal blob of stereotype humor, then somewhere in the past few years she found out about Jezebel and started taking their opinions on for herself.
She has gotten so much grosser in such a short period of time, she's actually attractive in this clip.
For all the complaints about sexism and feminism, if a male comic made the first joke she made in this clip today there would be clips of it going around the internet vilifying the guy.
Plus, she stinks and the fact that she was mediocre but kind of edgy, the only reason she "made it" was because she was a woman. If she was a man with this mediocre of an act, nobody would have any clue who she was.
