No way. Look, the show was great. But it didn't have a great structure, had two lovable loudmouth in DiPaolo and Patrice that middle America probably didn't love, had a mushmouth host, bad second act. It deserved to be around, but Norton and Co. have weaved this conspiracy as if Seinfeld was canceled.

Jon Stewart, the guy who had Colin Quinn on The Daily Show as a guest no less than four times, had Tough Crowd cancelled. Got it.

Yep this one doesn't quite make sense to me. I don't see why Colin would go on The Daily Show after Jon got him fired if that was the case.

And Stewart was on Tough Crowd at least once, I've seen on Youtube.

Yes, he was. But it's even more telling that Colin was on The Daily Show multiple times since Tough Crowd was cancelled.

Quinn really is a mushmouth

He probably wanted that timeslot and would have gotten anything in that timeslot canceled. He wanted his guy in that slot.

I have a hard time believing that Colin would go on the Daily Show if Jon Stewart had a hand in getting Tough Crowd cancelled.
There are more obvious reasons (ratings) that explain why CC got rid of it.

I recall that Jim, Patrice, and Colin said nice things about him and Colbert, although maybe it was just Colbert.

Yes this is a fact. Based on the evidence.

It was a known fact that Stewart was not a fan of the show and several people have hinted that he played a major role in getting it cancelled.

Yeah pretty much. Stewart is an asshole behind the scenes, wasn't there someone who spoke out about him yelling at writers or something
5 PhilipMarma 2016-02-16
He yelled at writers because he's a perfectionist, but there's no evidence that he was disloyal to his comic friends.
