The day Opie is finally fired/retires, Ant is in prison/dead, and Jim is toiling in obscurity/in hospice care for various AIDS related illnesses we will look into the deep silent void where the Opie and Anthony show used to exist and think to our selves "is this what victory looks like?" There will be a hollow feeling deep in our very souls and we will be forced to ask if it was ever really worth it. Some of us may learn from this hollow feeling, this dull ache of disappointment, and pursue more noble things: family, career, etc. Most of us, however, will simply move on to a new target to destroy( it may be Rogan, it may be Maron, no one can say for certain) much like Sisyphus beginning his struggle yet again. We will all move on with our lives and the memories of Opie, Anthony, and Jimmy will largely fade from our collective memory. Then one day down the line, you will be at a diner ordering lunch. The waitress will ask if you want "fries or chips" and without thinking you will mutter quietly to yourself "peckahs". Then, and only then, will you know that the work that what we're doing in this sub had meaning. Glorious glorious meaning.
