It seems like everyone was. Colin is a really intelligent guy, but he was buying into "the gov needs to do this for our protection" type stuff.
I watched one where they talked about the "Patriot Act" and everyone, Giraldo, Colin, lil Jimmy, were all for it. Classic argument: What do I care, I'm not a terrorist! Marc Maron was the only one to disagree. But even then, there was this undertone of "Marc is a sissy liberal"
It's natural, I guess, NYC comics post 9/11 are 100% for the war, torturing suspects, spying on citizens, blablabla. But it's interesting to see how things have changed
I guess the with us or a terrorist mentality was still pretty high at the time. I just remember jimmy praising the fact that bush was in office instead of gore, cause only the republicans know how to tell the military to take care of shit,
Watch it. "Giraldo, Maron, Norton, ?" (I think it was some chick who didn't talk the whole show? I can't remember). I can't remember the exact words, but Jim and Greg had the same, "Well I'm not looking up how to build bombs..." Kinda joke. Maybe he wasn't for it and it was just a joke, but I remember Maron was the only one who didn't have this mentality of "we need to prevent another attack any way possible."
That's what I was getting at. I think he took that side of the argument just for the joke, and I've heard him discuss it other times and think he wasn't in favour of it. Once again I can't recall specifics though.
Maybe, maybe not. He was a lawyer....but the tone of the show was very "pro" Patriot Act. Maron hesitated when he wanted to talk about it and say what he really felt. Instead just made some goofy jokes.
It's a good episode either way, don't get me wrong. 9/11 was fresh in everyone's mind, a lot of intelligent people were led to believe some bad shit. Tough Crowd episodes really reflect that tone of the country I think
Now I have seven new words you can´t say on television :´Welcome to the Jim Norton show, everybody!´.Amazing line, to be said at from Carlin. Could have made in a tattoo, oh wait ... that´s what that faggot De Rosa did.
The fact that fucking Spike, a regional "sports/entertainment" network like MSG, or a movie network like Starz never picked up TCWCQ really proves that the media is led by liberal jerkoffs. You will say Faux News... they have to rerun their programs for the West Coast. Hence, why Gutfeld and Friends (or whatever it is) runs at 3AM and they have weak shit like Kennedy on FBN running primetime.
TCWCQ was probably the only late night show I ever watched, and watched repeatedly on YT.

I always enjoy watching these clips and seeing how out of touch jimmy is with any of the politics they talk about

I haven't watched it in a while, but I don't think Giraldo was in favour of The Patriot Act.

Telling the crowd not to applaud the 50 year molestation anniversary was my favourite.

Notice how Carlin has a eye twitch similar to Jimmy in this clip. Hmmm
