Had front row seats for oddball two summers ago and her set was the only one I couldn't make it through. It was her third variation of a "and Google said did you mean...?" joke that made me go for a walk. Amazing what a drop off in joke writing she had after she broke up with Jeselnik. Just a coincidence I'm sure
Bonnaroo 2009. At the time, I was the only person who knew her because of O&A. Wanted to get out of the sun for a bit and check out her show. It sucked. When back into scorching Tennessee sun instead of staying.
I think she stopped being funny when Anthony Jeselnik stopped shooting loads inside of her. My theory is that she was only mildly funny in the first place as she was fueled with an actual funny persons jizz.
I saw her live right before she absolutely blew up and she was very funny. Mainstream success generally turns me off to an artist but i was still rooting for her. Her first season show was good. I didn't catch any of the later seasons. I didn't catch her movie. I think shes still funny but all the extra happy horseshit like jlaw and gun regulation, sjws, overexposure has turned me off from liking her.
I saw the Leary thing and wasn't impressed. Leary is a joke stealing hack, not defending him, but Giraldo isn't even close to the Patrice tier of funny to me.

Call me a "kook" but I never got the appeal of Giraldo. He always came off as super scripted and cheesy to me.

Witty, fast to attack bullshitters (see: Leary on Tough Crowd), and well educated. He was Hicks with more brutal punchlines.
