Breaking down Amy's "sexism" defense.

I cringed when Amy said the media attacked her only because she's a woman. The nerve of her to say that in front of Jim

  • Opie has been getting abuse for the better part of 2 years, including write ups in the media for all those viral videos you assholes promoted.
  • Anthony has been trashed his entire career, especially the past few months. He's never been convicted of a crime, but even before his arrest he was treated like shit by the media.
  • Gawker and Jezebel have strongly hinted without explicitly naming him that Louis is a sex offender\creep. They haven't named him, but it's common knowledge that he is the one they are talking about. Is he innocent? Is he guilty? It only takes one woman to accuse him of being inappropriate and the shitstorm will begin. This only kicked off when women accused Amy. It wasn't men accusing her.
  • Woody Allen is widely called a rapist even though he's never been charged with a crime. He's also widely reported to have married his own step daughter, when he never did. He had no relation to her whatsoever other than he originally dated her mother for a bit.
  • Michael Richards was forced to apologize for saying nigger in a night club. The media tore him apart and still do

Doesn't she understand that it's stupid shit like that which make people hate her?

The only reason Jimmy is defending her so vehemently is because she's a woman, and one he'd like to fuck. If Colin or Vos got accused of stealing jokes, you think he'd set up a special show for either of them to defend themselves? No, they'd handle it themselves like adults. But since it's a fragile strong and terrified brave female comic like Amy, the seasoned male comic vet piece of shit white night worm has to swoop in and rescue her from the horde. If anybody has even the slightest amount of sexism in this situation, it's Jimmy for being so patronizing to a woman who the entire media claims is fully capable of taking on that nasty patriarchy like nobody's business.

It's just blaming life's challenges on loose abstractions like "sexism", the "system", or "rape culture". You want to see palpable sexism, open up a history book and read about 70 years ago. You want to see a rape culture, look at what Germany is doing to women by enabling "refugee" rapists.

Nowadays all those things are just these ethereal, incorporeal, entities you can blame your problems on. Disagree with someone argument? They're not just wrong or have a different perspective, they're sexist and they just blindly hate the Shooms! The reason people go to them is that they are virtually impossible to disprove. I can make my argument for why MushShooms is a fraud but I can't prove I don't hate women.
