The trolls that come here love to say how nobody gives a shit about us. Pretty interesting considering like once a week we do something that has a major effect on the OnA universe and like once a month we do something that majorly effects the comedy universe.
Yeah, Cracked fell victim to the same thing. Not saying Cracked was brilliant before or anything, but it was mostly "10 Weird Inventions From The 1700s" and shit, now it's "5 Things Trans People Deal With Every Day"
I visit Uproxx every day as my go to site for news but in the past few years they've gotten so PC and ad heavy that I am desperate for an alternative news site that is not Reddit. Any suggestions for a balanced source for music/gaming/entertainment news?
There's no such thing as a balanced source for anything anymore. Some people will say there never was, but some people also like freckles. Degenerates.
The only way to do anything anymore is to read like 4-5 different news sources and try to piece together the truth from that. Especially entertainment news; the actual news started out fact driven and then became opinion driven. Shit like gaming/entertainment/fashion/music started out opinion driven and then became agenda driven.
I pretty much live my entire life on the internet since 2005 and i never heard of these fucking blog/article sites that you faggots always come up with. Why and how does one get to know about a site like Uproxx in the first place is a mystery to me.
It's interesting how people find sites; the whole internet seems to be divided into different zones that the average person never strays from. If you don't like Gawker-type sites, there's a whole world of affiliate and associated sites you won't ever see. Shit like Jezebel and Kotaku and i09 and all that clickbait shit is under one umbrella. Like if you've ever glanced at the Drudge Report, odds are you're never going to see Uproxx. If you're big into Etsy, odds are you've never seen an imageboard before. People would say the internet is like a country, but it's even smaller than that; it's like a city. Most people - even me - just check the same 5-10 sites every day. One of those is this sub. I welcome the blade that enters my stomach.
Of everything in the reel, the Wendy Liebman bit in the very beginning probably stands out as being the guiltiest example. But then again, most comedians aren’t scrutinized to the level Schumer is. How many comedians would hold up to having hours and hours of their material being picked over with a fine-toothed comb to see if they lifted a few words or a line here or there? On the other hand, when compiled all together, the evidence does seem pretty daunting. But if there’s one single thing that can be made abundantly clear from all of this, it’s that dudes on the internet still have a raging boner for wanting to take Amy Schumer down a notch.
Ohhh poor Amy is a victim of her popularity, give her a break. It's "dudes" on the internet doing this, not her lack of talent, and stealing from people she used to open for.
Let's be honest, when those tweets were pulled down, that went a long way to make this easier to sell the "pig males trying to take down the hot feminist superstar" angle.
What a surprise the article which ends with the following:

Yeah, they should leave her alone! Nobody went after white cis dudebros like Dane Cook and tried to put him on blast for "joke stealing" at the peak of his populohwait a minute...

And what’s with the creepy old dude face at the end… is it like a threat?

That should be our calling card.

It just needs Big A in the background mumbling "stamped it!" when BaldOpie makes his appearance.

It's something, Stanley.

I'm surprised Uproxx had the balls to cover this. That site is basically an arm of the Amy Schumer PR machine.
I am not surprised by the shot they took at the people compiling it.

I never heard of Jezebel, Uproxx, etc etc until I started coming here. I think Gawker was the only one I ever knew pre-O&A subreddit.

That article is thinly attempting to defend her.
Ohhh poor Amy is a victim of her popularity, give her a break. It's "dudes" on the internet doing this, not her lack of talent, and stealing from people she used to open for.
What a sack of shit publication.

Fatso reaps what she sows.
This is just another male hit piece written in her name.
1 xyniphis 2016-01-20
Yeah cause no one did that with carlos or robin williams. Its always worse for girls, especially when its equal.

The feminism darling Amy Schumer is being criticized? Yep, must be a bunch of "dudes on the internet."
"Pink haired chubster" checks out.
