What is with Opie's thing with giving away spoilers?

Why does Opie feel like he has to give away plot points or give away scenes to guest and actors from the movie?
Today I noticed he spoiled a Martian plot point to that Destafano loser for no reason. Does he do that just to try and show how "smart" he is by understanding something in a movie that was important to the script? It's so annoying-- not that he gives away spoils(I don't care at all), just that he does it to try and make himself look smarter or something.
Also he sucks at interviewing people that every time they get in an actor in he has to say "I don't know what we can talk about in the movie, you actors don't like when we bring up scenes from the movie." No shit, Opie, you idiot. They want people to go see it, not find out what happens through your crooked bottom teeth lisp.
Not even does Opie tell the actors he won't bring anything up, he goes ahead and does it anyways. He has no clue what to say, so his go to is to say "I just gotta bring up one scene/twist in the movie because I liked it so much." Then goes on to give away the movie.
Does Opie do this because he doesn't know what else to talk about to promote the movie/ he has social problems.
Other things I notice when he has guests on is to ask them if they seen the current thing that he is all about. Like him asking Malin Akerman if she seen making a murderer.
He also says a lot to give him a scoop and then he will sell some tickets or books. Like his show/fanbase cares about most of the shitty guests he gets in the studio.
One of the most annoying things -- which he slowed down doing -- is to tell guests to give out their Twitter name, because they were great on the show, and they will get some followers. Like he is rewarding that person.
Last but not least, another social idiotic thing he does is he brings up to other guests how so and so is a friend of the show and they love that said person. Like he is some cool guy who interviews everyone.
I am not an Opie hater, but he does seem to suck in social situations. Does he have some for of autism? I am not saying this to be negative, I am just generally curious. No way a man acts like he does while communicating with people and not have some form of social disability.

I only noticed it once I started listening more to Ron & Fez/Bennington. Ron is able to ask natural, interesting questions, without shoehorning in the fact that he saw the movie/read the book. He's also ratcheted all the annoying behavior up since Ant left. I guess because it would look bad to let Jimmy conduct the whole interview on his own.

Actually, you find out he's been dead since he had the heart attack, also that Darlene married Mark and Becky married David. The last episode reveals that the show is actually the book Roseanne had been writing and that in the book, she changed things to the way she wishes they would have happened. Roseanne fuckin ruled.

Because it's outrageous! Also extremely low-effort; all he has to do is look up a movie spoiler on the internet and then say it on his show, and he gets a reaction out of that. Simple shit that yields an easy reaction is the Opester's bread and butter.
