Pepper has always been loyal to ESD. Is Sirius running interference?

After watching the first episode of the new show, I feel it's missing the presence of a certain BluBlocker-wearing centaur.

Or the Midnight Rider, daddy.

Dave should definitely see if Earl can get a shift off at the Hard Rock and come in.

If I'm asked to guess, I don't think ol' Pepper is overly keen on some of Ant's publicly stated opinions related to some specific demographic aspects of American society.

Ronnie B famously once remarked that Hicks would go to a Taliban wedding if there was an open bar there ... but not once has Chris ever been out to the compound. Roy and Sean went every time Dave was over there, either for a show or a karaoke party, but never clip-clop Chris.

That's the 98% bet. 2% and fading is the theory that Hicks is permanently insecure about his future within SiriusXm, and doesn't want to be seen with a guy they fired (he has always been particularly weird and nervously un-cooperative with interns or staff that he thinks might one day replace him) ... but seeing him go off the deep-end in recent months with the scope-bros, looking real hard for rock-bottom does put somewhat of a crimp in that careerist corporate-Chris argument.

I don't think he likes Ant, but can't say that cos Ron, so we get him not going over with Dave, but refusing to say why.

"Hicks is permanently insecure about his future within SiriusXm"

Sounds pretty plausible to me.

Also, there's no way he's going to utter a bad word about Anthony (at least on the air). If you want to know why, just ask Shelby.

I've always preferred Chris Stanley over Pepper Hicks.

Here's the thing about Chris Stanley: Loved Chris, hated Stanley.

Peppy hamburgers

Ron is telling Pepper to stay away from Anthony for the time being, $10 bucks says without these court cases looming over Anthony's head that Pepper would have been on ESDS last night.
