This was when you absolutely could not talk shit about opie. Opiesucks was at the bottom of every thread. If you brought up Bam you were attacked. Lots changed since that time
this was the top comment in that whole thread, fucking makes me sick

Truth, Opie tries too hard at times, but he's also legitimately a funny guy - maybe not as much as Ant/Jimmy, but he absolutely has his really good moments.
The top comment says "best Opie video so far". I'd probably agree. It's unoriginal and shoddily done, but compared to the usual shit that he puts out, this video is fucking Prior in '74.
It's crazy to think that the culture was mostly about liking the show while it was still O&A,Opie did fall under that umbrella of support for a lot of people, but that's how it felt at the time.. plus this was back when people still had hope that it would be O&A (sans A) before Opie started rolling out most of his changes and Anthony's absence threw the show off balance, Norton and Opie started losing sight of doing the same kind of radio show etc. I do agree with that one guy, when Opie is not being a tryhard he's good on the radio. But he certainly is a tryhard a lot of the time. No matter what I've always had tons of douche chill moments listening to Opie but as a unit the show was good. He swings and misses all the time but sometimes he actually does "steer the ship" by making sure stories get told. Sometimes someone mentions something on the show and then they brush over it and change topics and Opie will be like wait I want to hear Louis story on this or that etc. Then sometimes he asks some random dumb ass question about something that someone is saying, but Jim or Anthony would pick it up and turn it into a good bit. No matter what they all had a role that created the successful show that it was

You don't see any of these positive people around here no more. Did they all change their names, because it became the cool thing to hate Opie?

Where can I find audio of Jim running down the Sirius halls in pajamas screaming "Snow Day"?

Did they die or get banned? I mean, what other options are there? At this rate I've got about six months until the next seismic shift and I'm gone.
