Vic Henley is cool and fuck yaself if you think otherwise

He's not the funniest guest but he gets "it". He has a great sense of humor and is fairly intelligent and interesting. He knows how to bounce the ball around with Jimmy and guests and actually interject some humor and interesting facts. I personally am a fan of his, and enjoy his appearances. Honestly he is the perfect replacement for the Opester. He could kinda play the straight man of the show and set everyone up and keep shit moving.

I've seen the man take a few beatings on here, am I the only one who likes him? I get if you don't think he's hilarious but as a man and a regular guest I think he's actually one of the better ones.

I've always enjoyed him on Bennington and he was good on the 1 or 2 O&J appearances I've heard. He's interesting on the radio but I probably wouldn't go out to see his standup.

Yeah, I heard him on Bennington and was stunned by how much better he was than on O&J. He was actually a great guest. I guess he benefits from having somebody smart to interact with. On O&J, I consider him mediocre at best.

You can tell that comics are just comfortable doing radio with Ron. He establishes that he will be leading the conversation, and he just makes it easy for them. Best radio host ever, imo.

Vic is cool. I'd rather hear that hick than Sherrod.

"I know Jeff Foxworthy and trivia."

Never had a problem with him. He's not a cellar comic and can't bring what those guys bring. It'd be unfair to call that a "complaint".

He's not annoying and unfunny like Esther Ku and Tom Papa are. And he's not unannoying but unfunny like... 3 or 4 of "opie's guys" whose names I forgot. (wtf was that one guy's name. Wasn't it Colin something? Not Hanks obviously).

I like hearing that he'll be on but don't love hearing he'll be on.

I haven't heard much of him and the stuff I have heard I don't particularly like but he seems like a normal nice dude and he definitely doesn't deserve the wrath of this sub.

Vic isn't the funniest person but he can at least hold a conversation and unlike Opie he knows about stuff and doesn't come across as dumb.

I don't dislike him, and he's made me laugh before. He has interesting stories about his brother and college football, true or not. He seems to know a little bit about a lot of different things which is good for a conversation based show. However, he looks nothing like I imagined he would. He's a weird little man

Going by the way his voice sounded, I thought he would be a 6 ft 4 bearded Santa Clause look alike.

He looks like Bob Levy without the years of cocaine abuse.

Lol I actually laughed at your "however". Like I was expecting something brutal and instead you were legitimately annoyed at the fact that he looked differently than you expected

"Weird little man" is an accurate description. Nothing mean to say about him other than that. Sherrod sucks, Florentine is the gen-x "that's gay" to everything he doesn't like (credit to whoever accurately described that earlier) Vic isn't bad. I wouldn't want to hear him every day, but during football season he knows a lot, decent input.

He's the "one ups-man" who has a story to top yours. And no one cares his ex-wife's name was Robin Williams.

Well that may be true, but all of us have asshole friends (I do too, but to most I am the asshole friend) and we accept certain shitty qualities and say "He's not a bad dude" usually when explaining said friend to other people. We all know the one-upper, the total bullshitter, the thin-skinned guy. We all can deal with each kind of asshole differently, I don't mind a 1-upper, thin-skinned guy pisses me off

My point being we all know assholes who don't bother us, but certain kinds of assholes bother different people

I've found that when the 1 upper is called out on his bullshit, he becomes thin-skinned guy. That said, I do like Vic better than Sherrod or Florentine.

One of my best friends is a pathological liar, but other than that he would give you everything he owns and jump on a grenade to save you. His family is fucking amazing to me, feeds me ridiculously good food, offers me money when I stop by even though I haven't worked for them in 10 years. His bullshit pisses a lot of people off, they hate him, ask me "how can you you be friends with him?". He actually is a good dude, just full of shit, I know what's real and I like him for that. I'd rather someone who lies about hanging out with Billy Joel but is completely honest as far as us being friends. Different things piss off different people

I found him hateable after he ambushed Mick Foley.

That was entertaining as hell and actually made me respect him. Plus don't be such a rube, that was obviously just an entertaining way to call out some shit and patch it up

Bring this Tom Papa shit in here! I like Tom Papa. There I said it
