Anthony Cumia needs an Intervention Part 2

Anthony Cumia clearly has severe problems with alcohol.

Listen to the denial in this clip.

But, who would do an intervention?

Nearly everyone around him is an enabler or dependent on him for income, status etc.

Gavin McInnes is a self-confessed alcoholic, Jim Norton won't want to bite the hand that could eventually feed him, Greg "Opie" Hughes is not talking to him etc, etc.

I think the best three people to do an intervention are Rich Vos, Ron Bennington and Robert Kelly.

All three are settled guys with families who are long term recovering addicts, Vos nearly 30 years, Bennington 15+ years, Bob Kelly 30 years.

All three are long-term clean recovering addicts.

I'm not sure it would help they were accompanied by his brother Joseph Cumia and sister and Dawn Cumia Costello even though they are probably very supportive - they are probably in denial about Anthony's alcohol problem and have lost all objectivity. They see Anthony's problem as "he likes a drink", "he just has a good time".

Wasn't Keith already retired when this all went down?

On disability. He still needs a few extra bucks each month.

I'm not saying you're wrong because I don't know shit about Anthony's life, but as far as Keith wanting Ant not to try and get his job back so he KTC can work for him full time, I think Keith owns his own Executive Protection Company now. I'm just guessing but with a 20 year pension, his EP Specialist Company & all the hours he's regularly had with Ant, would Ant losing that guaranteed Sirius paycheck somehow have Keith locked in to more money? I wild think that as long as Ant & Keith have been together, I wouldn't think that Keith could have any insecurities about where his next paycheck from Ant is coming from.

Anthony is too far gone for me to care about his well being. He's too old and frail for any of his comedic/radio talents to come back after any sort of intervention. He either dies within 5 years as a predicable but entertaining alcoholic or lives another 10 as a born-again

You should do it buddy. Go knock on his door and tell him you're from the internet and tell us how it goes.

It's harder to stand your ground without a gun

Artie Lange also tells a story about Colin Quinn and "two goons" or something physically taking him off to go to rehab a few years ago.

But I think a lot of guys are friends with Vinnie Brand, so this is really weird territory for them
