If the cops saw him strangling her, there is no way he would have been released on his own recognizance

Are you suggesting that this article may be slightly misleading by blurring the lines regarding the context of the official statements?

The COPS say they saw him strangling her????? Holy shiiiiiiiit.

It...was..da..Dukes...it...was...da...Dukes...

LOL. "YOU'RE A DEAD MAN, VALENTINE!!!" #allbecauseofsometerribleawfulnegro

The text clearly states that the cops arrived at the house where he was strangling her, not that we they saw it.

Shut the fuck up James.

It's official guys.... The spaghetti has hit the wall.

I don't think the cops saw him strangling her. I thought that at first but reading it over they might have meant that "the police arrived at the scene of the suspected strangling". If the cops had saw it happened it would be worded much differently and been a bigger part of the article.

Yeah I think he is deliberately writing it like that for sensationalism. He's writing two separate parts of the story into the same sentence as though they are connected when they aren't. Like someone said above, if this was the case, it seems doubtful that he would be released. I would think that would be all the evidence needed to convict him by monday morning. Not to mention I'm not a lawyer but I would think he would've definitely gotten aggravated assault, possibly more charges

This is 21st century media. Technically, the paragraph states that the cops are describing the HOME...NOT what they saw.

Tricky.

Everything is "alleged" until there's a conviction, no matter who saw what.

Ugh say it ain't so I pray it's just shitty wording

It says 'where [he] was strangling' not 'where he was seen strangling.'

also says they say not she says. It could just be poor wording but a pretty monumental example if so.

Yes, the whole paragraph is ambiguous. If there were police witnesses why wouldn't CBSNY state that scoop clearly? That's why I think there's nothing to it.

Oh shit! If the cops saw him strangling her...he's fucked.

No way they would let him out.

Yeah, I thinking it's just poor wording. For his sake, it better be.

tit is getting some good promotion here.

Anthony Cumia, half of the former radio team “Opie and Anthony,

So the police came at night when Dani called and left but then came again in the morning where they witness him attacking her? Why did they come a second time? Maybe a neighbor called? Either way this keeps getting worse for Ol pot face cunt strangling magillicudy

Oh boy. If the cops are the ones reporting the strangling...
