The whole Opie vs. Jim fracas really is a good listen. So many gems from The Opester!

-So, Quentin, How do you know it's gonna snow on set?
-Kurt, did Quentin make you stay chained together all day?
-(Interrupting brilliant comedians) Snowayyyyyy, what's up.

-I used to caddy and I saw Joe namath get followed around. No, there wasn't 3 thousand but there was like, uh, at least like 12 or 13.

That's his biggest problem, by the way. He's always thinking in terms of standard talk radio techniques when sometimes it's best to just let a conversation develop organically.

standard talk radio techniques oof
the problem is, your guy says words loud enough that other people hear them.

You are a -100 account.
I have seen you post quite often defending Opie. So yes...your guy. You're an Opie ass sucker. Congrats.

If you think I've ever defended Opie, then you simply don't know how to read.

Maybe I'm mistaken then. It could be that you are just a jerk off.

If opie had literally half the talent of a "standard talk radio" host, I'd be happy. If he was even as competent as Scott Shannon, I'd rate him as acceptable and move on. But he isn't. He's worse than an amateur. I'd be willing to bet money that at least half of the English speaking people walking down any random street in New York could do Opie's job better than he does. Most of them are probably funnier, and if anyone had been paired with Ant and just knew the bare minimum of how radio works, they'd have been successful. Opie without Ant would be praying for Brother Wease's "talent" and "career". Adam Carolla has had holes that are funnier and better in conversation that Opie. Allison Rosen, for instance. Even Robin, for chrissakes, makes me yell "shut the fuck up" at the radio less often than Opie does, and she's fucking unbearable.
