So fat Bobby Kelly has heartburn or something and bails, big deal. But that turns into late night panic and getting that Mensa candidate DiStefano to come in. Embarrassing.

Opie panics because he may actually have to work. Have you heard him alone with just Florentine or recently Colin (who had to scold him for panicking)? Opie has no conversation skills and no life to relate. If he doesn't have prep from Stankels and no Jimmy to carry the show he can not work. Opie can only tag other's thoughts/jokes/opinions (poorly of course), throw out blurbs written down for him, or ask inane generic questions. I wish some one with audio skills could cut a show up one day of just Opie to see how little he really contributes to his own fucking show.
