This is pretty much the epicenter of all the Opie hate. Yeah he's bulldozed over bits. Has the comic timing of a miscarriage. Can't pronounce words. Fabricated his past and says odd shit. But he should've had Ant's back a hundred percent OR had been honest about why he didn't/couldn't. It was so obvious from the jump that he didn't flex his power and used the stupid Twitter rant to finally get rid of Ant, who had passed Opie's idea of what the show was supposed to be well before that. Ant and Jim were consistently entertaining and he was a button pusher with delusions of grandeur. He took advantage of a minor incident that would've blown over in a couple days and tore apart a great show/his own legacy to have some lame ass show that nobody likes. Ugh. What a douche. If he had balls and/or self awareness he'd address it honestly on air and provide some insight and (gasp!) entertainment. But at this point he's so far gone there's no coming back. As for this sub... continued success.
