Where is the proof that Chip is based on Opie?

I remember a clip from years ago. Jim & Patrice were messing around and Tits was being annoying as usual. Something came up and Jim started calling Tits "Chip", and Jim and Patrice were chuckling about it as if it was an inside joke. I believe this was the first time Chip was mentioned on the show. Either I've hallucinated this or it happened and I can't find it.

Patrice was laughing because "Chip" would be the name of a really white guy who golfs and thinks highly of himself. It sounds like Jimmy thought it up on the fly. It's like "Chet", which is another stupid name that gets used a lot.

While we're on the topic, just because Jim would use Chip to taunt Opie and allude to Opie's flaws doesn't mean Chip is entirely Opie-based. Chip represents embarrassing parts of Jim too. Saying that Chip is just Opie doesn't give the character enough credit
