(AP) (Los Angeles) -- Comedian/Actor Jim Norton was involved in a one-car accident early this morning near the 1200 block of East Pomerroy. Sheriff's deputies reported one victim with moderate injuries. Orange County Hospital representatives refused comment. Witnesses claim that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the accident.

Norton, 47, appears regularly on "Opie with Jim" on Sirius/XM. An outpouring of support for Norton was emerging on social media shortly following his injury. Radio partner, Gregg "Opie" Hughes tweeted: "Get well soon. Period."
