All of the problems with The Show are due to Opies raging hormones. He has the estrogen levels of a teenage girl. Instead of counseling, couldn't he just get on some anti-estrogen meds? They're cheap. He wasn't this bad ten years ago. It's probably due to falling testosterone.
Women get away with this behavior because they're dealing with other women who know what it's like to have raging hormones. Men aren't supposed to act like this.

No this is called being isolated.
His only social exposure is the vapid reality shows his wife watches.
He does not go out anymore, he does not mix with common folk, he is rich, and has handlers for every little thing.
A nanny, a maid, an accountant, all he has to do is wake up, and puke womanly unoffensive shit into a mic.
