Opie in his prime and at his best are moments of him being extremely mean or obnoxious towards people. Poker chips, pissing on books, stomping on cakes, torturing E-Rock and staff etc etc. Whether or not those were scumbag moves it was still entertaining and memorable radio. Then he became a family man and his only useful contribution to the show as "the wild card" went away, and he floundered on the "new show with no chemistry where it was just Ant and Jimmy riffing". His family also seems to of coincided with the elimination of degrading women and having wild bitches in the studio. Without having extreme bits and being evil he is exposed as useless
