Anyone else think a trio of Ant, Jim and Sam would be the bomb?

Maybe even throw in a little bit of Erock running around the studio?

After the Opie with Jimmy show on Dec. 1 I would be surprised if anyone has any loyalty to Opie anymore.

I've been listening to O&J and I would laugh at something Opie said every now and then. Although I disliked him I appreciated some of his insights and rare jokes.

But after the Dec 1 show he seems legit delusional. Just the mention of Ant he gives his high-pitched defensive tone. And then telling Jim "they aren't close" when Jim has been the one holding the show together. And the dozens of other points I could make just about that show.

I can't imagine Opie has any of the old O&A people in support of him in the least.

I agree, Sam would be good at filling the Opie spot like he did in Nopie shows, that way they have a straight man to present stories so they can just riff and Sams personality wouldn't leak through too much.

Sam is actually consistently funny. Even if he means to or not, his patheticness generates some chuckles. He would excel with Opie's job.

I really liked the few times Ron and Sam were together on air. It was mostly Ron making fun of Sam but that's ok

I don't really like Sam. His voice is grating and his only method of humor is smarm.

That's why he's made for 3rd mic and not as a standalone show.

I don't think they're crucial, but I would really like the peripheral names like Erock and Sam on staff for the various hijincks and bashing they provide Ant and Jimmy. Even though Ant still gets in Erock jabs on TACS.

Yes. Sam brought great content to the show - Jocktober, Scorch, etc. He played along with all of Jimmy's characters and bits, took a lot of beatings that got personal with his wife and family. Sam is a good egg.

Yes, definitely. Sam is great on the radio
