After the Greggshells Crackening show Opie took Jimmy down the hallway and opened a door. Jimmy's mouth fell open agape, unable to say a word. Before him lay 15 different replacement Anthonys, silently waiting in the wings. Lil Jimmy, hushed in terror and awe, fell in line after that. He had no other choice.
It was the OPIE and Anthony show, you DOPES. Everyone on that PLATFORM was replaceable except the STAR. Get that through your thick fucking skulls you IDIOTS.
Opie WAS the show, and when he saw that it was moving away from that, he bided his time until he could find away to make the OpieRadio we all know and love today. And some of you IDIOTS with NO fucking loyalty can't accept that. That's your problem.
I'm sure if Jim leaves, the TALENT of the program will find another DOLT to talk to.
Is it really that bad? I love MGS1-3 and I feel like the series peaked with those games. I really don't like 4 that much and I didn't find Ground Zeroes to be all that interesting. I still want to get MGSV, because I have been so invested in the series for the past 17 years of my life and I want to see how it plays out. I'm trying to avoid spoilers until I eventually buy it. But I could tell that the series was just moving in a direction that didn't interest me.
That was the most interesting thing to take away from Greggshells 2. I had no idea that Opie was grooming other people before Anthony came along. They always made it out like Anthony just sort of appeared and they became soulmates. It really explains a lot.
I spent a long time defending Opie. It was almost like I tried to make myself like him and think he was interesting and added value to the show, because the catholic guilt bred in me caused me to be that way. Ex-employees ragging on Opie? Of course they would hate him. He's the boss and they're bitter. Of course they would single out Opie, because he is the only one who took this job seriously and he had to be that guy.
But eventually when every single person who has ever come in contact with Opie rants about what a shit bag he is...maybe there is more to it than just bitter ex-employees with an axe to grind. Everyone else can't be the problem. The common denominator is Opie.
I like how Ant pointed out: Sometimes you have to look around and realize it's not everyone else's fault, and say "oh shit, i'm the problem" it's happened to me before, and it sucks. Not that I'm going to change anything, but at least I realize i'm the problem... Paraphrasing him, but it's a very valid and honest point
That was the most interesting thing to take away from Greggshells 2.
I'm surprised people aren't discussing this more. It's a pretty big bombshell. Did no one know this before? It really does speak volumes about Opie's personality.
I think people are just happy to shit on him and call him titty boy. I personally like getting into the psychology of Gregg Hughes and trying to figure out why he is such a fuckwad.
Also hilarious how absolutely bang on Patrice was when they did the roast of the WNEW show. Patrice kept saying that his mind was blown by how much of a ''need a job motherfucker'' Anthony sounded like.
It all boils down to nobody liking Opie. Not finding chemistry or working things out. What he just cannot accept is that he's just not a very good person and an even worse broadcaster. All of his coworkers secretly detest him, he refuses to do an hour of radio by himself because he knows it'll become even more apparent how horrible of a broadcaster he is, and he genuinely has no friends in real life. Whenever he mentions his people telling him about things Ant is up to it's him or his wife. "I've got my people t-that tell me things..." No you don't Opie....your a millionaire who's name a lot of people know in New York City and you don't have a single friend.
reminds me of that Arnold Swarzenigger parody on MADTV, when the 2 Arnolds meet, and they go "who are you?" "dont you know, I'm you!" "then who am I?" "you're not you, I'm you! and you're me!"

Just want to point out one thing, Anthony didn't say the other 3 shows failed, he said the other 3 people quit on Opie.

That's almost worse. It shows what an insufferable cunt Opie is.

I don't know what's so special about the name Anthony that Opie would only let people with that name on the show.

2 BoardroomBimmy 2015-12-03
I'm still buying it regardless. I just hope its a step up from MGS4 and that it's less of a bore than Ground Zeroes.

Lol some faggot actually responded about the game? It's deleted now.
