Why doesn't Ant get Jimmy as a co-host and join a terrestrial radio station?

Like they used to do before; Ant and Jimmy are more than fine skating around FCC rules, we all know that. They could do a 3 hour show on terrestrial and then a premium & uncensored 2 hour show on Ant's network the second the terrestrial installment is finished.

Monday to Thursday, both shows on Ant's NYC's studio; imagine the guests they could get, comics and whatnot.

I hate to break it to you dude but none of that is going to happen. For a start no terrestrial radio station is going to hire the guy who was fired from satellite. Also too much time to put in that I would imagine they are willing to do.

You do raise an interesting point regarding guests though. I do feel like Ant needs to raise the draw/appeal of the show to be able to successfully lure Jimmy to co-host. We all know he loves interviewing musicians and actors etc. I feel like he would easily compromise on money.

But that's the thing though, a terrestrial station - long term at least - would guarantee numbers as far as listenership goes. And that would be key to high level guests being interested in the show, as we all know the only reason they go on these press tours is to promote whatever rubbish they're involved with.

Talent prevails man, Ant and Jimmy as a duo would take terrestrial waves by storm within a year or two. The question is, do they have that will in them?

We all desperately want The Anthony & Jim Show. Hell, as much as it might suck, they could even do a terrestrial syndicated show if they wanted to. Once you get up on XDS it's just a simple button push for local stations to pick up your show.

Jimmy needs to be honest with himself. Is the extra money really worth the stress, aggravation and marginalization?

For shit's sake, Opie doesn't even acknowledge him when he walks in the room. Then he completely checks out when Jim is doing a bit he isn't fond of. I'm not sure I could tolerate that - especially when we're considered equals.

Jimmy will always make money from stand-up and his connection to other comics. He needs to consider that when evaluating Opie's worth to him.
