Opie's over-sensitivity to the critism of his speech crutches (Period!, Hold On!, etc) leads me to believe he may have peeked in on reddit once or twice.
Based upon THAT reaction, it also is safe to assume that ever since Jim didn't back him up when he cried in response to "Gregshells" that he has slowly lumped Jim in with Anthony and, even more telling, the internet haters.
