Opie has never been able to grasp anything that's in any way nuanced. He thinks he's deep because he likes to look at pictures of sunsets. This show is pretty straight-forward, but a lot of what makes it great (along with everything in the Coen Brothers' world) are the subtle touches Opie lacks the ability to pick up on.
Starter pack for things Opie thinks are deep: Beginner yoga, people watching, sunsets, Oprah book selections, Pearl Jams post-grunge catalog, etc. Opie is a textbook basic bitch.
Oh god. I forgot about the "people watching." He actually calls it that. He's such a touristy suburban frat boy douche. He once had a member of the "Philly Crew" take him on a drive through a real-life ghetto!
The first season was really really good, but holy shit this 2nd season blows it out of the fucking water. Ive known Bokeem Woodbine for awhile from my love of 90s gangsta rap hood movies, but holy shit Mike Milligan is not to be fucked with. He does such a good job even though his accent is just Chappeles "White Guy voice". And the day is gonna come where him and that bad ass Indian mother fucker are gonna square off, and I have no idea what will happen there. Ted Danson is great, Kirsten Dunst surprisingly pulls off the accent very well, And Opie from Breaking Bad grew tits (HOLD ON!, all seriousness that dude is such a great actor.. Even dating back to Friday Night Lights)
The Kenny Rogers cover was great too. At first I thought it was the Black Keys, but found out it was White Denim. Played in the car when she pulled up to the Pearl Hotel and during credits.
Didn't listen to this but holy fuck this season of Fargo is one of my favorite seasons of television of all time. Like Sopranos, The Wire, South Park, Always Sunny, True Detective s01 status
If I heard this clip before I saw the episode I would have been dissapointed. I think this is the best show in years and I dont think its slowing down, but this last episode has been a little over rated I think as far as the praise its been getting compared to other individual episodes. I think the final few are gonna be fucking amazing though.
That was a boring fucking clip, but Ill upvote anything Fargo related.
Fargo Fun Fact: There was a movie made like 30 years ago or some shit that had the same name and was based in the same region of the country! Even though the film makers and actors of the original film have long since passed their legacy remains. Fargo season 2, Check it out!!
Ive watched the first season twice and am up to date on season two, so I know im not missing any reference. Nice try though!
read my original post, I KNOW Fargo!!

Ronnie B has great taste and watches shows like Fargo. Meanwhile Opie is watching the Real Housewives. Let that sink in.

The show really is fantastic. I didn't think they could outdo last season, but each episode is better than the last. Not surprised Ronnie loves it.

Wow, quite a stand you're taking there, referencing the two greatest TV series of all time. Any other dynamite revelations you want to make?
--edit: He chimed in to say that the show is garbage and that The Wire and The Sopranos are better. Quite the insight.

I don't think OP sold it as a "funny" clip. It was Ron talking about Fargo, calm down.
-3 axeheadroad 2015-11-25
You go calm you dirt.
1 molloybe 2015-11-25
This is actually the shortest, least in-depth discussion they've had about it. They talk about it pretty much every Tuesday.
-2 DeShot 2015-11-25
I don't know if you are trying to be an idiot but the Coen brothers wrote and directed the original Fargo movie...and they are alive and well.
Either way, you are a cunt!
