Opie may be dumb and annoying. But one thing he has gotten right ..

Is his treatment of Ant. It's so pathetic to see passive-aggressive Anthony take little swipes at Opie here and there, like a little faggy dog nipping at his pantlegs, trying to get Opie to respond so he can get some attention for his failing network.

The way Opie just ignores him like the irrelevant piece of shit he is is very satisfying. You know it drives Craterface nuts.

Wrong. Ant, and every fan knows the thing that keeps Opie from mentioning Ant, is fear. Opie is a complete moron who has never talked shit to anyone who could fight back.

Even Stupid knows Ant would destroy him in a debate, it's the reason he wanted to talk off the air when Ant got fired. Opie's not ignoring Ant intentionally, he avoids talking about him because Ant would hit back hard.

Opie's a walking pussy with a radio show.

Just like he ignores every negative tweet, guests being harassed by asshole reddit members, he just closes his eyes and hopes it goes away. It's not a calculated/planned move to be mature and take the high-road. What could he possibly say/do? He is neither intelligent or clever, his only defense is to ignore the bullies and hope it go's away.

Agreed. You saw the wheels come off when Opie responded to Anthony's "Walking on Greggshells."

Opie couldn't keep his own story straight while speaking, un interrupted and unchallenged, by himself.

Could you imagine if Anthony were there to directly confront him on each and every thing he said? It would be a bloodbath.

Yep. It's natural to want to find stuff about Anthony that sucks, as well, with all this Opie-bashing.

And, as most know, it's very easy as well.

But, the guy sat on his tongue for 20 years about this fat titted TMZ wannabe cunt. Ant's an eloquent guy and I don't think he's lied or done anything underhanded in his treatment of Opie. his "passive aggressive" quips are usually just jokes that he can make now that he couldn't make the show was still O&A.

I really think a lot of it has to do with Opie wanting to distance himself from the old show as much as possible. He wants to put all that behind him and work on building his version of The View / TMZ and having it become a media destination.

Which is really the saddest possible, and therefore most satisfying, answer.

Biggest bait and switch ever. The funny part is that if Sirius XM wanted that type of radio show, they could've gotten 2 random nobodies / half somebodies, let marketing do the rest, and spend a lot less than ~3mil a year for Opie and whatever else everyone else makes. They didn't hire him for that shit in the first place. I'm starting to consider that he might get canned in October. Lock up the Bonfire show or create something similar to it for half of Opie's entire salary at full cost for production and he's out of there, they save themselves plenty of money, save themselves the trouble of having him on board, and at this point the cancellations will probably be minimum

They should just replace him with a younger funnier guy and call him "Opie"

Why bother? Just fire him and pretend he's there.

Jimmy can do his impressions with zero feedback, the guests can interact with each other until a break is needed and random background noises will fill in for all the missing burps, snorts and sniffles.

So, we break even.

People keep saying this, but I think he's just throwing as much shit to the wall as possible to see what sticks.

Answer me this, how does he think he's going to get mainstream when he tries to go viral by bullying retards and fat women?

True. The only answer I can think of is that he's just plain dumb.

I agree it is satisfying, however, I refuse to believe that Opie has any idea it comes off like that. He is not intelligent enough to make that smart of a move on purpose.

I'll never understand why Opie gets any credit for not engaging. Why would he be bitter or take shots at Ant? He's not the one who got fired and had his partner leap for joy while lying to him and the fanbase for nearly a year. If their situations were reversed, Opie would have made Ant look like a model of high-road maturity.

Except for that one time, when he cried.

Failing network? Lmao
