Just on the subject, there really is nothing more obnoxious than a hunger strike. It's the protest version of a girl threatening to kill herself if her boyfriend leaves.
In my experience, the trigger warning/intellectual coddling movement on campuses is solely the domain of students. Thankfully, professors - even the radical leftist ones - rarely go for that kind of shit. It's all from Internet tumblr culture, which people of a certain age just don't have catalog on.
