Ron has to make subtle jabs because Opie wont get it. Its a stalemate between the 2. Ron doesn't want to hear Opie's bullshit and Wicky bitching if he says his true opinion so he just busts balls. Opie likes Ron coming on the show because in his mind it validates him as a "radio guy" and he knows Ron would destroy him in any on air fight and Ron wouldn't allow the off-air drama of Greggshells. This is some 20 dollar twin towers lunacy. If you play the whole thing in context, it doesn't sound weird at all. Ron has a mush mouth and he purposefully stretches his delivery. The pause after the word "documentary" is just him grasping onto his thoughts, it's not Ron winking at the audience. He sounds like this all the time.
I've said this before: Ron suffers if Opie is fired or retires. Opie is Ron's greatest advocate at Sirius XM.
He had a rant saying it was bullshit the way SJW's try to make people lose sponsors or their jobs. It was in reference to the Quinten Tarintino situation with the cops, but the show and Anthony's situation were both brought up during the discussion. Ronnie doing the standard "If you don't like it don't listen" line.
