Opie is behaving like a ferret on crystal meth: desperate for attention he's interrupting anyone who speaks whenever they speak with his nonsense; he's making it absolutely unlistenable.
I caught the end of yesterday's show earlier this morning, and that last segment with that terrible country music singer was absolutely pitiful. He was a total douchebag and his song was awful. Ween did this schtick 20 years ago and did it MUCH better. Jim didn't say a word, probably because he was so overwhelmed by the complete awfulness of it all. Sherrod talking over the song was barroooootal. Why the hell was that ass even on?
I listened for like 15 minutes yesterday, that's enough for the week.
When the caller put them in their place on politics, and having three morons flail for some kind of traction to justify what they were doing, no thanks.
Wouldn't doubt it. Based on how these guys admit to let smart people figure stuff out for them and then they follow whatever they say, I'd say he votes based on whatever news station he watches.
I'd take a peek at the Elvis Costello. I wasn't going deep, but I'd take a little taste every now and then. Now everybody is saying I should be listening to the Elvis Costello more. Fuuucccckkk. Maybe I gotta check him out.
I've noticed that Opie is all in with the Periscope lately. What happened to Meerkat, which was his app of choice... he was loving the Meerkat on his Samsung.
SiriusXM calls it a "partnership;" I'm pretty sure that Sirius is compensated based on the web traffic it drives to Periscope.
I suspect that many of SiriusXM's advertising agreements are what ethically should be called advertorials; in this case you don't hear commercials for the product/service, rather the pitch is seamlessly integrated into the content of various shows via interviews or praise of the product/service in conversation on a show.
Oh yeah they've def been doing that for awhile. Naturally there's the sponsor driven segments where it's blatant like Titos Vokka or Wyndham, but I always thought the way O&A&J went through a period where they talked about iphone apps at the same time everyday was strange. Then there was when all the music DJs were miraculously discussing Orange is the New Black and encouraging people to tweet their opinions about it.
Pretty shitty.
If the show were that bad, and didn't generate (enough) advertising income for Sirius, don't you think the suits would pull it? Honestly? Entertainment execs have the patience of an 8 year old if theres no ratings...am I right?
just thinkin, just sayin'....
They were talking about that plane in Egypt that they think might of been bombed. ISIS release a video of a plane exploding. Clearly the plane wasn't at 30,000 ft and how the fuck would a terrorist know exactly where a plane was so they could be filming it?!?

You think Ron ever gets tired of being interrupted?

Opie just keeps trampling over him so he just clammed up.

He's certainly not used to it since Dave left.

Due to Opie's strange vernacular when conversing with people, he confused a guest by making him think he was offering him acid.
Rob Dukes mentions how he's been sober for 22 years, but took a lot of acid when he was younger.
Opie excitedly yells, "You went acid!?"
Rob's response was "No thanks."
Speak like a normal person, Opie, and you can avoid these embarassing situations.

Hasnt Opie said he doesnt vote?

After Obama beat Romney, yes. "That's why I'm proud to say I don't vote."

Thank god for Ronnie B today a refreshing change from Sherrod, ugh
4 Cletus_From_Brooklyn 2015-11-05
He needs Ronnie, to lessen the blows....
2 Cletus_From_Brooklyn 2015-11-05
Didn't opie say on air that he hated two artist, Joe Jackson and Elvis Costello? Wonder if anyone will bring that up...
3 Cletus_From_Brooklyn 2015-11-05
It was when O&A were doing the curses in songs bit (Episode 56 O&A podcast, right before they played Oliver's army)...

3 Pat_Battle_Storage 2015-11-05
Obvious bit if everyone in the room weren't afraid of him: Opie blind-reads Elvis Costello lyrics.
"Uhhhh... Oh man, I got it! We gotta bring in Big A for this! That's a bit! Awright let's go to the phones."
2 silks322 2015-11-05

Periscope has the traction but I also suspect they're paying Sirius for content.
