Sadly, it's the truth, managment doesn't give a fuck about what's good. If they were really concerned about talent, entertainment and what the audience wanted, they would not have fired Anthony to begin with. Or if they really felt like what he did was so awful and unforgivable that they just could not keep him, they should at least have had the sense to realize that Opie couldn't carry the show without him and they would have cut him as well. Opie without Anthony is like firing Lou Costello from Abbott and Costello, then shoving Bud Abbott out on stage and telling him to do the act solo. -Who's on First? A steaming pile of floppy titted shit, that's who.
Absolutely, plus Pete has a career in acting ahead of him. The Jews in management aren't willing to spend Opie's salary on the replacement. So most likely it will be someone desperate like Sherrod.
The same way they're grooming The Bonfire to take over, too, right?
Opie will resign with the company because he finally got rid of Ant and the company loves the safe soccer mom approach of the show now. Opie doesn't interact with Uncle Paul or Chip because that's not the direction he wants to take the show. He wants to read half a newspaper article and wax poetic about shit he doesn't know anything about. Easy money, and an easy show for SiriusXM to keep around so that when they send out their flyers the list of shows available is longer, when we all know they're all pretty shitty outside of Bonfire and Bennington.

Yes...the guy who's on SNL is plotting a massive step down to satellite radio.
Also, what exactly is Sirius doing to "groom" him? Allowing him to be booked on the show?

financially, it would be a major step up: SNL pays dick.
But Sirius isn't grooming Pete to replace Opie. They already have their replacement for The Opie & Jim Show: The Bonfire.

Financially, in the short term, yeah. But it's not the step you make career-wise, as an aspiring comic doing his first year of SNL.
Regardless, Sirius doesn't seem to have done shit as far as I've seen.

Pete would be an idiot to take a radio gig. He has MTV and Lorne Michaels connections and he's only 21.

Is that what they're doing, buddy? Are they grooming Pete to take Opie's position?

I wish, I really do.
But nope. Opie is in tight with those management cunts, because he's cut from the same talentless and humorless cloth.
