I wish he did a couple free episodes a month so those of us who don't have subscriptions could see whether this is true. The show was obviously pretty bad for a while, and while it may be improving it's impossible to tell unless you already have a subscription. Not a perfect business model.

Meh. I enjoy Rogan pretty consistently, depending on the guest. I know for a fact if it became a subscription, I'd never listen again. I like Ant, but there's no fucking way I'm paying for his show.

If it was as good as the Nopie shows, I'd definitely pay $6/month for it. The problem is that by all accounts it isn't.

It's not even close to that good. I subbed to the free weekly best-of awhile back. It was okay. Around the 5th and 6th week, I just found myself not caring enough about it to even bother downloading it.

I've laughed way more at this than the whole shitty old dusty Netflix catalog.

Yes. I paid to see Norton in a club. I've bought DVD's. I don't pay for podcasts. Maybe for the right one, but I doubt it. I know all you superfans are invested so heavily in Ant that you feel like you have to defend it, but who in the fuck is taking 8-10 hours a week to WATCH a podcast? For anyone who says they don't watch, only listen, you're paying real money for a C list audio podcast.

I look at it like this. Ant entertained me to no end for YEARS, and I never paid a dime. I think him getting fired was a crock of shit. Most podcasters have other sources of income. Ant came into it having already been on a successful, lucrative show. He has enormous bills to take care of and no other way to get any money other than his show. Since he did so much for me over the years, I'm happy to pay 6 dollars. Some shows are great, some are ok, but I have noticed them improving. I don't mind showing or giving support.
