If he just read more and lived life a bit more instead of edging in his hotel room for hours at a time he'd have a decent intellect. He obviously has a high IQ, but little knowledge.

When the last shooting happened and they were going over Obama's speech he didn't know what the term "body politic" meant.

I don't see how it's obvious that Jim has a high IQ at all. The ability to talk your way out of anything is not the benchmark of an elevated intelligence.

IQ is a strange measurement of "Intelligence" though. A lot of people with higher IQ's seem stupid, however they grasp things quicker than most, its merely a potential for intelligence. Plenty of people with average IQ's are college educated and are incredibly knowledgeable in their particular field. Jim is just a pontificating worm though.

Jimmy is 5ft 2' and runs his mouth. He can't physically fight so he's had to argue his way out of every confrontation. That said, I think his main arguments were with mommy and daddy about letting him stay up late.
