“They go, ‘This guy is one of the best stand-up comics I have ever seen.’ That stuff was my B and C game. They’re not close to my A game. This is my A game now.
And
While Breuer may call himself a “spiritual warrior,” it is not about any specific religion for him.
“Being on a higher spiritual level is a great thing, whether that is God or whatever you want to call it,”
"Not going to sell you on what you should do. I say, ‘Here are some of my experiences.’ I am not saying what it is. I just have examples of things. Like, I asked for something and it came. I prayed for something here and it came. To me, it’s like a radio station. It exists and it is up to you if you want to turn it on and listen to it.”
What the fuck is it with men having children that 9/10 times makes them lose their humor? I don't think Goat Boy was very funny but he had his place, now I feel like he's going to jump on the blue collar comedy tour and do an hour on the miracle of life.
Louis CK swung hard in the opposite direction and kept his funny, Jeffries does a couple hilarious bits about his kid, and Bawby usually makes me roll my eyes when he goes off on the magic of kids but usually figures out when he's killing the mood. Almost everyone else I can think of shit out a kid and flushed their comic bone down the toilet.
If being damaged is a major factor in a stand-up comic's potential, what happens if they change their life in a way that has them looking at the next twenty-five or so years concerned with providing stability and hoping that their kid(s) will be part of a better world?
Answer: comedy antimatter. But maybe the honesty of an act that relates to the current state of their lives ends up better than the contriving of an act based on a past already well-mined for material?
Testosterone decreases when you have a child and settle down with a woman. Bruer has moved onto a new stage in his life, and good for him, but he's not funny anymore.
He's an idiot any ways with retarded opinions. He's stuck in .. I'd say 1997, along with Dopie and Florentine.
Am I the only jerk that never found him funny?I don't like his crazy voice and weird face,it's like distraction, trying to fool me into thinking what he's saying is hilarious. But what do i know..?
Agreed. He's always been a favorite of Opie, soccer moms, and people who thought that obnoxiously over-the-top stoner he played in Half Baked was an accurate representation of someone who smoked pot. Fatherhood didn't make him suck, it just intensified his awfulness.
Clean COMEDIANS can be funny. SCORCH'S mantra is "KEEP IT CLEAN" and he is the funniest man on TELEVISION. He doesn't even make constant dick jokes while telling his GIGANTIC audience to avoid body/sex jokes. Definitely not.

That's a refreshing new outlook that the comedy world is sorely missing. He truly is a visionary.

I know that we are all supposed to be dicks about everything, but seeing a wife battle cancer changes a man.

That spiritual thing always pisses me off. 'I want to have faith but I don't ever want to have to think about it or defend it'. Coward.

Bonnie and Vos use their kid well....they beat the shit out of the kid with jokes and the kid beats them back...somehow they seem like good parents

I thought the Pizza Guy story was pretty good

His stories are honestly the only thing I enjoy hearing from him. More than an hour straight and he gets annoying .

yeah, what's up with that face? he has that dumb look on his face all the time, and he looks like a fucking idiot.

Best thing Breuer has ever done on stage was telling a story of Norm getting kicked out if Iowa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBKlXR3BbDU
-1 Buttpudding 2015-10-20
That wasn't even remotely funny.
2 KuukerinNelli 2015-10-20
As opposed to his usual stuff?

-4 Really_Big_Dummy 2015-10-20
Breuer is amazing, thats it, he's original and does his own thing and isn't worried about impressing a bunch of cynical cunts on the internet.
2 JesusLesnar 2015-10-20
Hitler did his own thing and didn't care about impressing anybody
