That was probably written by the Stankels and given to Opie before the story was on air. Opie can't pull off the Stankel lines when its with conversation and on the fly, which is why he always comes in late (he can't read fast enough to seem genuine). The Stankels probably put lines in with the stories on the prep sheets (they are actually in studio Prep Burger)
This would have some humor for me save the fact that Opie has repeatedly complained that Obama isn't a sportsman like Opie is. And the Opester's All-In with Basketball.
