I'm honestly amazed people can still listen

I actually listened to maybe 3 out of 4 shows a week up until they went on vacation a couple of months ago. Not sure why I continued to tune in even though I knew I hated the show, maybe I felt like there would still be a couple of gems from Jimmy that would make it all worth it. Now that I'm done listening, it's really very liberating.

I quit back when they went to Montreal last year. It was weird at first as I had listened almost every single day for almost 10 years. But after the first few days it felt good. Listening to O&J would just make me angry with how hacky and boring it was. That coupled with the past year and a half of our hatred for Opie, I now find it hard to listen to even a couple of minutes in the clips that get posted here.

It was the same with me but with this place. I didn't listen to either show but I couldn't not come back. I think the longest I stayed away was a week. I'm glad I stuck around long enough to see this though.

Sure, it's not funny. But it's relatable, and I love relatable discussions because they're comforting. Comforting like mom's meatloaf, or my favorite pajamas, or a nice warm bath as I slowly open my wrists...

I've switched to NPR for my morning listening pleasure.

Before 7/4/14, it was like I was listening to my friends shoot the shit every morning. Now it's just awkward.

I usually turn it on randomly throughout the morning. After five minutes of listening I'll remember all of the entertaining podcasts that I have yet to listen to.

As I said before, I have a long commute to school everyday so it's something to listen to kill time. If someone could suggest another show daily that's free I would gladly give it a chance.

Start at Episode 1 and keep going. The Bonfire is objectively hilarious. I have to stifle laughter during every single episode.

It's what I imagine an Ant and Jimmy show would be like, with the brilliant improvisation and obscure music, TV, movie, and pop culture references. Except Soder and Jay's references are from the talking/color picture era.

I also recommend doing this with SModcast (and other podcasts I'll get fagged at if I mention), which will take months to get through. I've been hooked on it ever since it started airing on The Virus.

I listen to The Bonfire, LoS, and Bennington when he has a guest on I like. The "nopies" on youtube are great too. That's about it though.

I just don't get the "kill time" or "background noise" thing. Don't you like music? Do you just have to listen to something you dislike because your ears constantly need filled with sounds of voices? Get audio books. Does it have to be a radio talk show or a messy podcast with comedians who don't know how to do talk radio? There's a whole world out there that isn't talk radio or podcasts. Go explore, you little scamp! :P

Haha I don't dislike it as much as most on here it's very cringe inducing which I happen to like. Jimmy's still one of my favorite comedians and I would listen to any medium he was staring in, if he left I would stop listening. It's just like Artie on Howard, I would never listen to that shit anymore without him on.

I loved Kill Tony until I was on it and got absolutely decimated by Tony, Greg Fitzsimmons and some broad. It's #104 from back in May. I seriously was a big fan until that happened. I just checked though and am thinking about listening to the newest one with Kirk Fox, he's my favorite guy on there because he gives legit constructive criticism and it's almost always smart and helpful.

Adam Carolla has a daily show, Im not sure how many others go daily though. I could always plug my shitty podcast Lookin GOOD Radio, but I started my own podcast on there called Live From The 405, where I do a solo show while sitting in LA traffic. (I have an hour + commute every day.)

Whenever I listen to that podcast.. I really like it... Then I daydream about trying to do it and I get a panic attack.

Good for you to give it a shot. I kinda stopped listening after hearing henchcliffs verbal crutches over and over...and over. It's been awhile so I cannot think of one off the top of my head. Also, whoever (redban) mixes the audio on that show just doesn't give a shit. At least with the first 75 or so episodes.

Thanks. Yeah Redban is awful, it sounds like shit and at least when I was still listening back in May/June, it took him WEEKS to put up an episode for some bizarre reason. He tried to give me "help" on one of my jokes, and his advice was totally wrong because the little piece of it I'd been doing for weeks and it always got a laugh, like 5 or 6x I'd done it. (The "sorry" thing) He is such a dope, last week on Rogan he thought regular freight trains had a "deadly 3rd rail," that was one of about 12 completely retarded questions/comments he had in that episode. One stupid motherfucker.

Someday I'm gonna go back there like Luke Skywalker in Return Of The Jedi and burn those fuckers down. I went through hypnosis after that to cure me of my (really bad) stage fright, and it fucking worked. Can you believe that shit? That's how pissed off I was after that. In the end, that appearance really helped me. I got considerably better (because I was 90x more comfortable on stage) almost immediately after.

I'd imagine the best thing someone could do is just totally shit the bed, have every worst nightmare come true on stage and get through it. It'd probably be nice to just get out of the way.

I swear to god, it worked. And I am SO not one of those guys, I basically did it as a goof ("fa da GOOF!") and was 99% sure it was gonna be total horse shit. I felt NOTHING when I did it, too. Lo and behold, a few days later it made a drastic difference. Could not fucking believe it. (Id been on stage over 80x at that point, I still wasn't over it. Hypnosis worked.)

I really hate the scene there, there's not a friendly vibe like most of the other clubs out here. Trying to to come up as a stand up there is like going to Cobra Kai from Karate Kid to learn karate. Unfunny people just LIVE there, I think they think they'll get funny through sheer osmosis or something because they're at the Comedy Store. Somebody got shot in the head there Tues night and died, did you see that? It was like a mob hit. Right on the patio.

I ran into Fitz like 3 weeks ago at American Comedy Co in San Diego, I swear to god. At one point it was just him & I sitting at a table (we were there an hour early for a thing) and he's like "Where do I know you from?" He was like "I don't know why we were so mean to you, I felt terrible after that one." He said he's not crazy about doing that show because he doesn't like tearing down other comics, esp up and comers. I was like "Yeah, I almost quit after that." He's one of my favorite comics, it was cool to finally get to hang with him/talk to him for any sort of length of time. Nice fella. (TINY little fucker) Imgur

Ater the bose head set half hour yesterday I almost called Sirius to cancel, I will be letting my subscription lapse at the end of the month.
