The energy was so low that nobody gave a fuck. Jimmy was so flat that he couldn't even say "ooofff" to himself like he usually will.
IMO it's not because they can't do it... it's because they don't really want to anymore. It's probably it's quiet and sad for them too. They probably instantly remember all of the other times they've taken a moment like this and ran with it -- but I guarantee that despite all the passive aggressive bitterness between both O&A, deep down, Opie and Jimmy just don't feel the same doing the radio show like they used to. In a really strange way, it's out of respect for Anthony's spot on the show that they don't blow these moments up anymore. Not like a reverent "moment of silence to remember Anthony" type of dramatic gay thing... more like they can 'feel' his absence the most in those moments and it reminds them that the moment would never be the same without Ant, they can try to blow it up and car crash and all of that but it just wouldn't be the same, so they don't do it.

Second, the reaction to the bomb says so much about how far the show has fallen. The terrible line, "It's my favorite website WWBMD." just sits there in silence. Not because it bombed and Jimmy has to sit in awkward silence because of it. Nope, it's because everyone in the room is too stupid to get the bad joke and too lazy to discuss it until Jimmy tells them what it means. Did Ant nod to Opie when it was time to hit the 'crickets' sound because his instincts were so poor here he didn't even do that?!
