Is either "I Hate Your Guts" or "Happy Endings" worth reading?

I'm not even bashing Jimmy, but are there any stories he hasn't told on air? Is it even funny? Why am I asking you guys and not reading the Amazon reviews?

Happy Endings is legit really funny. It's just a series of essays but they're all really funny. He includes a short story he wrote for a girlfriend years ago, it's the type of thing that makes me think Jim is truly insane.
I Hate Your Guts is okay. The stuff about himself is good, but a lot of it is just him ranting on early 2000's pop culture that everyone has forgotten about.

If you've listened to the show for, 7+ years, you've already heard everything from Happy Endings. I Hate Your Guts is ok. It's a good toilet read.

That was something else I wondered. I've listened for a while and I'm constantly looking for old clips I haven't heard. Happy Endings is only $4 on Amazon (shipping included) so I'll probably end up getting it.

Both are good reads for anyone who knows Jimmy's humour. Happy Endings is great the whole way through but I got a bit tired of I Hate Your Guts after a while...still good though.

I read both and I thought they were pretty funny. Jimmy is a better writer than a standup, I think.

Jimmy's a better dancer than a standup.

Hate Your Guts was a good quick read. I got Happy Endings as audio book while traveling, found it better with Jimmy's commentary than when read.

If you want a peak into Jimmy's life then you need to get Happy Endings. But like another guy wrote, you have to get the audio version with Jimmy reading it! It makes it 10 times better. I hate your guts is basically a list of every celebrity Jimmy hates & what he would like to do To them.

Someone just posted a link to a chapter from the audio book of "Happy Endings" Pumpkin: A Love Story It's read by Yimmy himself, and proves that he should definitely write more.
The other book is mainly him going off on a few people, which is alright, I guess.

I found them to be funny, I didn't pull my car over because I was laughing so hard but funny nonetheless

I Hate Your Guts to me is funnier. Jim gets really visceral with his hatred for Hillary, Al Sharpton, Nancy Grace, and Max Bornstein.
Happy Ending is a lot more autobiographical. It's his first book, so I thought his writing was better in I Hate Your Guts.

If you enjoy really obvious punchlines and strained outrage in written form.
