Was just listening to a Nopie show with Amy and Will Ferrell. Just thinking how great it was and how Opie would have destroyed that show and interview. It infuriates me to no end that he has this show. Goes to show management doesn't listen or care about content.

Opie was the one who wanted to bring the fat fucking Stangles on board.

Also his idea to put them in the studio/on mic. Stankels were meant to be behind the scenes producers and Radio Wizard management position under Wicky. Of course Opie fucked it up by making them personalities and torturing us with Justin Stankel.

Uh....no. The Stangels were given mic time so that they would be so fucking happy masturbating each other cause they're NOT in the shadows anymore...annnnd then they'd never be able to look at the show objectively to see where the glaring weaknesses are. THUS THEN (yeesh) ... nothing will ever change, cause they won't want to lose their new on air gig.

Will Ferrell was on the show? Doesn't sound like his type of setting.

Why are they talking about doing radio on KROCK like their hands were tied? They chose to do KROCK for more money, they admitted to doing a cleaner satellite show to try and court more terrestrial syndication.

Opie is just trying to excuse the fact that it was one of the lowest rated morning shows in NY history. If you listen to them fight after they were dropped, Ant blasts Opie for basically doing nothing to help make the show better or help promote it with sponsors. Again this narcissist thinks he is Howard Stern, that everyone should know him and doesn't need to ever put out effort. As the internet tells us most people have no clue who he is.

Also it was Opie's idea to have John Mainelli replace Tom as GM. The same guy who begged them to put in more effort, especially Opie, and also the same guy who wanted Jimmy off the FM side of the show. Opie may have created the show but he destroyed it in every way possible.

Opie just steam-rolls Jerry Shepardini.

I downloaded all of January 2002 Shows. I've listened to the first few so far & even back then Opie plowed thru what anyone had to say. And when Ant or Jimmy had a killer line, Opie would start talking the second the laughs started. But god forbid someone even make a noise when Opie was trying to say something clever, he would go off and yell "God damnit! I had a great line & you stepped on the laughs! Don't you know how to do this kind of radio? After someone has a funny line you have to pause for the laughter!" I guess some things never change.
