in the old days i used to imagine he was that disconnected because he was playing with knobs, reading the phones, looking at the computers and shit but now I'm just pretty sure he's a horse's patoot.
This is probably why he would get so pissed when the phones wouldn't work. It made it much more difficult to kill the comedy others are bringing without his phone calls excuse.
This is probably my all-time favorite O&A clip and it's absolutely enraging how many times Opies tries to halt it. "Andrea Pizer?!? Can we get her on the phone???" (he's referencing something from hours prior). I do love how Jim just kept barreling through.
