That's great! I can totally see Opie thinking he's using the same current hip language of the kids today and seriously asking Pete if he wants to get together some weekend and just "bro down". But then again, Opie might take it to far and offer Pete a bro job.

yeah good point they were going in a more guest-friendly direction even before Anthony got fired ("Media Destination") but you're right, they made the decision to get bigger guests (Schwarzeneggar, etc) by being nice with the PR people. I don't even disagree with them stopping shitting on every guest and celebrity, they really did reach a point where they alienated themselves from getting any big name guests. So I can understand wanting to get better guests, but instead of balancing that humor they just got rid of it.

Opie can't get shit out of a quality guest because he's an idiot that guest see right through and will not open up or trust the show. When you constantly ask your guests to " tell me about your book" or " tell me about _______" you will get shitty interviews. He should stick to trending podcast hosts since that's what it seems he wants to be.

Pete's smart to keep going on the show when he can because it shows he's pretty quick and he gets more of his jokes out than he does on SNL. The conversational stuff fits his attitude more than doing sketches, and his and Jimmy's obvious mutual love they cant confess is adorable.

In the past the only way Opie showed "he was friends" with comedians was by going to their shows. He would then give Anthony shit for not going, and act as if he "wasn't a friend" of said comedian. Never-mind the fact the shows were in Manhattan where he lived and miles and miles from Ant.
