What makes you think he ever had any clout? The idea of having any sort of influence in the company was completely foreign to him in the Larry King interview. He was nothing more than a suck ass with the bosses and he played it off as he was the experienced radio guy who really ought to handle things. We all know the type, the type that whine the boss this, management that and then you see him drinking with the same people he always complains about on Saturday night.

I would applaud it. I have nothing against the Stangels but they are tv talk show writers not radio bit guys. Then again, everyone is wanting the show to be like it was and that just isn't going to happen with or without the Stangels.
