I called in once when they were discussing plot points of the movie Unbroken before it even came out in theaters because they had went to a screening the day before.
I told them to nobody has seen the movie yet and to shut up about it. Jim went into defense mode and said Opie has been talking about the book for months. I replied that nobody listens to stupid Opie and they should shut him up. Opie pretended he didn't hear me with a "wha happened?" I told them to fuck off and hung up.
Bravo, I chuckled. I called in during the early days of XM. Jimmy said he wished someone would pull up along side me and shoot an RPG into my truck window.
These guys are such oblivious narcissists. Who the fuck discusses a movie they saw at a private screening on a radio show? You have to be so far up your own ass, literally no thought put into what the listeners would want to listen to. Goes a long ways in explaining why the show is so bad.
Nice I actually remembered that call after listening, that was the same point where they were ruining every movie they sall at the premiere including the interview.
I tried to listen because I wanted to hear iyour voice so I could shit on you for it ( you sound fat and unemployed etc ) but they were so boring I couldn't make it through.
I called into Ron and Fez once for a contest, I won and was supposed to get some autographed DVD from Fez. I was never contacted nor was I ever given the prize. I like to think that it's always a lie and that Ron and Fez never give out prizes. Like, Ron just makes up something and thinks of a celebrities name to say the prize is autographed by but really he doesn't have anything to send. If that's the case, he's fucking brilliant and I love him even more.
Years ago, it was the day after David Caradine was found hanging in the closet and they wanted people that were into sexual asphyxiation to call in, not my thing but I remembered seeing on the news a few years earlier a guy that killed his wife by choking her with a phone cord during sex. The boys loved it, especially Jimmy. I was a nervous wreck but they were cool.

Such a great reference wasted on two dullards that have never seen Seinfeld.
6 bizzlbone 2015-09-15
Jim: "I haven't seen that one, I gotta watch it again. Seinfeld, what a GREAT show man."

I really enjoy Anthony, but found he was the absolute worst with stuff like this.
The Breaking Bad finale had just aired and on Monday he ruined the ending.
When confronted, he just told people to go fuck themselves. He did that a bunch of times over the years.

That was awesome actually. Tits didn't even seem bothered by it. Guess that just goes to show how much more fragile he's become in just a year

More likely just incompetent staff, but it does add to the Bennington mythology. You got my vote

that was my favorite call of all time to anything ever

"Son of Sam" caller is way up there too. The silence after his initial long-winded bomb can usually only be experienced in the vacuum of space.

those two go hand in hand for me. they're yin and yang. the circle of awful isn't complete without them both.
possibly my two favorite callers ever.

I called the After Show once (pre-crisis)
I contributed nothing and was a nervous wreck for 2 hours after I got off the phone, I never called again

I called into Ron and Fez once, and genuinely made Ronnie B laugh. That felt pretty great

Explained WAR to those dummies when was Jeter retiring. Of course Dinosaur Jim was averse to advanced statistical analysis if you can believe t.
1 Slette 2015-09-15
Was that really you? I actually remember your call, which is rare, because they only calls I remember are ones that led to the caller taking a beating
2 hautebird 2015-09-15
Ha yeah, that would be a pretty weird one for me to make up. Opie was actually fine and asked questions. Jimmy just wanted to wallow in his ignorance.
1 Slette 2015-09-15
Valid point sir.

I called once to ask Ant for help cuz I was thinking of killing my wife
8 SeaweedBouquet 2015-09-15
If you need to ask for help then you don't have to moral courage to do it anyway. Less talky, more stabby
2 Shibowen 2015-09-15
I sure hope that was you, since I remember it ended without being sure if he had already done it or not.
Love that bit though, want to listen again.
2 jfost240 2015-09-15
I participated in the oddest thing you own contest. Does that count?

I called in to make fun of David once
1 Wsallgood 2015-09-15
Was only a R&F caller. I hated the interruption of O&A callers too much to be one. Also, I was never put on.
1 Knightscribe 2015-09-15
Had a tweet read on the show once, does that count?
