There you go, dummy. A guy with artistic integrity doesn't want his music being used without his permission for a campaign he doesn't agree with. Opie's response? I bet he could sell some T-shirts about it!
What a non-retard would say: In a civil and free society people should be allowed to engage in commerce, in this case music use, but, that right should also protect the ability for someone to acquire the same goods and services as any other person without discrimination for religion, race, sex, or even political ideology.
What opie said: at least you get some pock-pocket burp money. a few sheckes never hurts, right stangel??
He is so stupid.
1-not everyone is 52 years old. Many people don't know REM or that song & will associate it with the campaign just like I didn't know anything about Fleetwood Mac & associated that one song with the Bill Clinton campaign
2-it's completely reasonable that a musician doesn't want their music used for a politician whose political views they disagree with. How could you even argue that point?
I hope Howard uses Opie audio to promote something like breast reduction surgery. What a dope, it's not about money, it's about having your music associated with something or someone you absolutely don't support.

If there is 1 thing REM needs after being hugely successful for 3 decades is a couple extra .99cent iTunes downloads

No, what you said is also what a retard would say. Just a different type of retard.

Opie's shrewd business acumen always amounts to the logic that Bill Hicks says marketeers should kill themselves for.
"Hey he's clever, the Trump dollar is a big dollar right now, that's smart"

must be exhausting to hate republicans so much. Yes your song was played, don't get a heart attack over it, Michael
1 JunkerHQ 2015-09-11
There's a huge difference between a republican candidate using your song and Donald trump
-3 truthie 2015-09-11
Yeah because he is smarter than 99% of Republican candidates.
