The promo poster should have been Jay and Dan with bundles of sticks flung over their shoulders, both having a knowingly raised eyebrow type of expression. The tagline being: You Can't Have A Bonfire Without Faggots.
Honestly, it is the closest thing to prime era Stern this side of a good day on the Artie Lange podcast.
And if quality is the measuring stick, it's already replaced HaqqyHaterRadio 100x over. If you step back and survey the landscape, shit is fucking bleak right now as far as comedy radio/podcasting goes.
You want Florentine's "Horrible Vanity License Plates #6"? I don't.
"I'd probably like the show" means you haven't listened yet. Why not give a try? Unless you're balls deep in '94 Stern mp3s, there's no excuse.
It's already to the point where not listening to The Bonfire is a mistake and a miscalculation.
I just don't "get" the bonfire. I'll have like a half hour commute and I'll listen to it but I don't understand what is really going on. I know some radio bits take time and you can't just hop in out of nowhere, but 30 minutes should be long enough to get the hang of it. Whenever I tune in, they are doing impressions and songs for like half an hour and it just feels like a big scramble of ideas, not a coherent convo about a specific topic.
They're both funny but they need to try harder. As it is now, 90% of it is noises and laughter that probably makes stoned listeners laugh because they assume whatever's going on must be funny. The hosts are like a pace car and the stoners try to mimic them.

The Bonfire will be successful only if Opie jump aboard and steer the ship.

Never heard of it...

DJ Lou on the knobs! Better producer than Opie ever had.

Thank fucking god. Now I don't have to keep reading about how it's the second coming of the Christ child.

What's with the curmudgeon routine? What happened to fun-lovin', free-wheelin' BoardroomBimmy?

I'd probably like the show. I'm just tired of people acting like it is some prime era Stern resurgence that will replace Oqieraqio.

enough with the viral marketing.

I have absolutely nothing to do with the show. I've been a mod of this subreddit for 3 years.

I prefer OandJ to the bonfire, honestly.

Haven't you learned that you can't express anti-Bonfire opinions here?
5 IAmBecomeGay 2015-09-10
Well I can, I'll just get downvoted. Which doesn't really hurt me in any way.
