Bob & Tom may be kind of hokey, but Opie couldn't hold their jocks.

Also, Opie is a known bully and only picks on people weaker than him (see: Falcone, Dennis). Bob & Tom have a huge audience and are equally if not more successful than mantits.

They were on a list of shows that would not be Jocktobered. Big Jay asked Sam Roberts this last time Sam was on LOS.

They're syndicated here. It's very tough to listen to the CONSTANT forced laughing. But they're a hit with a lot of people. Has that safe edge of FM radio.

They fake laugh at everything. They put their own laughter over their own song parodies while they play them. They have a fifth wheel woman and the edgy guy Chick Mcgee. They have the comedians do bits. It's terrible.

I don't care for John Boy and Billy, but they do that kind of show way better.

Who cares what comics they have on? It's how they use those comics. There is no redeemable quality with Bob and Tom. I grew up in the Midwest. Hated them then and now
