You realize that films, especially documentaries .. take a long time to make? Last thing you want is a documentary that was rushed and slapped together. My expectations on this project are low, but it all depends on who's attached to it in the directing, editing, and production end of it. I wouldn't expect a finished film until early 2017 at the earliest. Could be as late as 2018. The more footage they can acquire and get the rights to, and the more time that is spent on this thing, the better it will be.
And honestly...do we need a 2 hour documentary about Patrice? I understand he was a great comic, he's highly regarded, but...was he that interesting? I kind of feel like I got him and knew plenty about him. He's pretty much told all of his life's stories, too. I loved the guy but no way in fuck am I going to sit through 90 minutes committed to him.
